What is a Corporate Volunteer Council?

The Corporate Volunteer Council (CVC) is a coalition of businesses that recognise and promote the importance of workplace volunteering. The CVC provides professional guidance, development, support and networking opportunities. CVC members benefit from the sharing of knowledge and resources and gain a greater awareness of the needs of their local community.

Key focus areas

Promotion

Raising the profile of corporate social responsibility across the state, and being the focal point for employee volunteering issues and achievements. The Council will keep the corporate volunteering conversation going and urge others to take part.

Programming

The Council will develop an annual program of networking events, expert speakers and, joint projects. It will tap into and cultivate the corporate sector's desire to give back to the community.

Peer Collaboration

Bringing together like-minded people who have an appreciation of volunteerism will result in creative ideas and solutions to improve our community. The Council will provide a forum to share ideas, research and resources and to work in collaboration on internal and external projects.
